Leo Herrera, Analog Cruising. A Manual: „This generation doesn't know how to look people in the eyes to gauge interest or build  up the confidence to approach someone and deal with rejection. To be really present in the moment. Every little action is recorded and documented. Being able to look somebody in the eyes and choose  them in that moment, it's a skill and it has to be practiced.“

(en) While strolling in public spaces is socially acceptable, cruising—as a form of pleasure-seeking, nomadic wandering—disrupts public order.
In early summer 2026 Berlin's Senator for Education, Katharina Günther-Wünsch (CDU)  calls for a more persistent approach to undermine cruising in one of East Berlin's lake sites. Far from reality her biased and deeply homophobic agenda calls for police presence to prevent the ‘stressful atmosphere’.
Cruising (A1-G7) collects seven beach towels with cardboard sculptures printed on them. The sculptures consist of an irregular number of neatly categorized, dysmorphic body pieces. Installed at said lake in East Berlin they become part of the landscape as well as strangers exposing themselves in the field.

(de) Während das Flanieren im öffentlichen Raum gesellschaftlich akzeptiert ist, stört das Cruising – als eine Form des lustorientierten, nomadischen Umherstreifens – die öffentliche Ordnung. Im Frühsommer 2026 fordert Berlins Bildungssenatorin Katharina Günther-Wünsch (CDU) ein konsequenteres Vorgehen, um Cruising an einem der Ostberliner Seen zu unterbinden. Ihre von der Realität losgelöste, voreingenommene und zutiefst homophobe Agenda verlangt nach Polizeipräsenz, um die „belastende Atmosphäre“ zu verhindern.
Die Arbeit Cruising (A1-G7) umfasst sieben Strandtücher, die mit aufgedruckten Pappskulpturen versehen sind. Diese Skulpturen setzen sich aus einer unregelmäßigen Anzahl säuberlich kategorisierter, dysmorpher Körperteile zusammen. Am besagten See im Osten von Berlin installiert, wirken sie gleichzeitig wie ein Teil der Landschaft und wie Fremdkörper, die sich im Freien zur Schau stellen.
